A practical checklist for crypto compliance reporting

Before you promise regulators a story, make sure your data model, wallet inventory, and reconciliation cadence can support it.

Start with wallet and entity mapping: every address should roll up to a brand, jurisdiction, and responsible owner. Ambiguity there compounds every downstream report.

Next, define reconciliation SLAs—daily for hot wallets, weekly for treasury, event-driven for large movements—and stick to them. Late discovery of breaks is what turns small gaps into big findings.

Finally, rehearse your audit pack: sample transactions, match rules, and exception resolutions should be reproducible without engineering fire drills.
